Erasmus Mundus Active Participation Vol. 1 & 2

The main objective of the one year project (2009 – 2010) "Erasmus Mundus Active Participation (EMAP)" of less and not sufficiently represented EU countries" is to enhance the participation of higher education institutions (HEIs) from these countries and their partners in the EM programme by improving the quality of their applications for EMMC projects under Action 1 of Erasmus Mundus programme.

The other important objective is to contribute to the higher professional competence and experience of HEIs and Erasmus Mundus National Structures (EM NS) of the consortium countries (also Slovenia) in the cooperation with the more experienced EM NS colleagues.

The main target groups of this project are in particular HEIs – as the future potential applicants for
EMMC projects – which are from the target countries together with their partner HEIs in other EU
countries and also all the EM NS of the project consortium countries.
EMAP was selected under the Erasmus Mundus II Action 3 restricted Call 2009 (Erasmus Mundus National Structures information projects).

The second phase of EMAP - Erasmus Mundus Active Participation, Vol. 2 is a common project of 17 Erasmus Mundus National Structures (also Slovenia). The two years project builds upon the experience of its predecessor, the EMAP project (Erasmus Mundus Active Participation).

The EMAP 2 aims to enhance and facilitate the participation of higher education institutions from
countries less or not sufficiently represented in the Erasmus Mundus Action 1 – Joint Programmes.
The project also intends to contribute to the capacity building and networking of participating Erasmus Mundus National Structures.

The main beneficiaries of the project will be the representatives of higher education institutions as
potential Erasmus Mundus Action 1 applicants coming especially from the less or not sufficiently
represented European countries together with their partner higher education institutions. The project also targets all Erasmus Mundus National Structures represented in the partnership.
EMAP 2 was selected under the Erasmus Mundus II Action 3 restricted Call 2010 (Erasmus Mundus National Structures information projects).

The participation of CMEPIUS (Slovenian Erasmus Mundus National Struture) in the projects EMAP 1 and 2 is coofinanced by the European Commission/ECAEA and the Ministry of the Republic of Slovenia for Higher Education, Science and Technology.
