Erasmus Centralised actions
Part of activities within ERASMUS program are organised in form of so called 'centralised' procedure. This term signifies that there is more centralised approach towards planning and financing of projects. Actions that are 'centralised' are:
- Academic Networks: designed to promote innovation in a specific discipline, set of disciplines or in a multidisciplinary area, e.g.: law, literature, economics, etc. They require the participation of at least 31 institutions from all 31 participating countries;
- Structural Networks : designed to help improve and modernise a specific aspect of higher education organisation, management, governance or funding. They require the participation of at least 5 institutions from 5 different participating countries.
- Curriculum Development Projects to upgrade existing curricula and/or to develop new ones in any academic discipline
- Modernisation of Higher Education projects develop strategies for modernising curricula, improving governance and optimising funding of higher education institutions
- Co-operation between Higher Education Institutions and Enterprises bring together the academic and business worlds in order to promote entrepreneurship, creative thinking and innovative approaches as part of the curriculum for students, and to improve skills of teachers and researchers
- Virtual Campuses projects support the development of content, services, teaching and practices for higher education, based on information and communication tools
- Accompanying Measures that are aimed at:
- raising awareness;More detailed information about those action is available on the European Commission's website and on the website of the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency – EACEA.
- training activities and analysis;
- maximising the impact of European cooperation;
- fostering trans-sectoral synergies;
- implementing activities specifically concerning aspects of transversal policies;
- carrying out other activities focussing on specific themes, target groups or contexts.
