Bilateral scholarships for the academic year 2014/15

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Slovenia (hereafter referred to as the "Ministry") hereby offers the number of scholarship months to foreign nationals, on the basis of bilateral agreements (between the governments/ministries) and reciprocity with the following countries:

Bosnia and Herezegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Montenegro, Poland, People's Republic of China, Republic of Macedonia, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Switzerland and Turkey.

Bilateral scholarships for the academic year 2013/14

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Slovenia (hereafter referred to as the "Ministry") hereby offers the number of scholarship months to foreign nationals, on the basis of bilateral agreements (between the governments/ministries) and reciprocity with the following countries:

Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Montenegro, Poland, People's Republic of China, Republic of Macedonia, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Switzerland and Turkey.



    SCHOLARSHIPS of the REPUBLIC of SLOVENIA for short term individual studies in the academic year 2012 / 2013

    The Government of the Republic of Slovenia announces a limited number of scholarships for the academic year 2012/13 (from 1. 10. 2012 until 30. 9. 2013) on the basis of bilateral agreement and reciprocity basis for the following countries:
    Belgium – Flanders, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Israel, Japan, Macedonia, Mexico, Montenegro, Poland, PR of China, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Switzerland and Turkey.

    The scholarships are open to foreign students who wish to come to Slovenia as an exchange student. The main purpose of the scholarship scheme is to support foreign students who wish to undertake a part of their study (undergraduate or postgraduate) on the individual basis under the supervision of Slovenian lecturer.

    The Government of the Republic of Slovenia again announces a limited number of scholarships for the academic year 2011 / 12 (1. 10. 2011 till 30. 9. 2012).

    The majority of scholarships are reserved for the citizens of the countries with which a bilateral agreement/programme on scholarship exchanges (quotas) has been signed with: Belgium - Flanders, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Israel, Japan, Mexico, Montenegro, Poland, PR of China, Russian Federation, Slovakia, Switzerland and Turkey.

    A limited number of scholarship months is reserved also for the candidates from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia and Serbia.

    The scholarships are opento foreign students who wish to come to Slovenia as an exchange student. The main purpose of the scholarship scheme is to support foreign students who wish to undertake a part of their study (undergraduate or postgraduate) on the individual basis under the supervision of Slovenian lecturer.

    Priority will be given:
    1. to citizens of the countries that have bilateral agreement with the  Republic of Slovenia;
    2. to citizens of countries where the principle of the reciprocity exists (direct exchange of government scholarships);
    3. to postgraduate students.


    Deadline for application is 30.4.2011 (Per Post Mark).

    All eligible higher education institutions in Slovenia

    Funds:
    A) Undergraduate Students      € 230/month
    B) Postgraduates                     € 253/month


    The results will be known in June 2011. All students will receive an e-mail regarding results of the Open call.
