Erasmus Staff Mobility - Teaching Assignments by HEI Teaching Staff and by Invited Staff from Enterprises
ERASMUS Staff Mobility for teaching assignments gives an opportunity to the teachers from HEI or invited staff from Enterprises. This also creates links between higher education institutions and with enterprises.
This action is also much related to the students. Teaching staff actually promote exchange of expertise and experience on pedagogical methods and allow students who do not have the possibility to participate in a mobility scheme, to benefit from the knowledge and expertise of academic staff from higher education institutions and from invited staff of enterprises in other European countries. To succeed in international collaboration also encourages higher education institutions to broaden and enrich the range and content of courses they offer; and also motivates students and staff to become mobile and to assist them in preparing a mobility period.
Who can apply and for how long?
The teaching assignments may be carried out by teaching staff of higher education institutions and by invited staff of enterprises. Teachers must be employed at a higher education institution holding an ERASMUS University Charter. Staff can teach abroad between 1 day and 6 weeks. The minimum requirement for a teaching assignment is 5 teaching hours. Multiple mobility periods are possible. A minimum duration of 5 working days is strongly recommended to provide a meaningful contribution to the teaching programme and international life at the host institution.
Teaching assignment mobility is based on "inter-institutional agreements" between the home and the host higher education institutions holding each an ERASMUS University charter an agreement between the higher education institution and the enterprise concerned.
How to apply?
The interested teaching staff should contact the international office and/or ERASMUS office of the home institution or the host institution in case of enterprise staff or the National Agency.
The teaching staff shall submit to their home institution or enterprise a teaching programme agreed by the host institution. The programme must consist of at least:
- objectives and added value of the mobility;
- content of the teaching programme;
- expected results.
