Grundtvig In-Service Training

The In-service training gives you an opportunity to improve and develop your practical teaching, coaching, counseling and/or management skills in adult education with the professional support of Slovene experts. You can apply for a grant to participate in a training course in Slovenia at the National Agency in your country. 

Slovene training courses are included in a European database of courses which enables you to search quickly and easily for an appropriate training opportunity. To search for courses visit the database, choose Slovenia in the field “Country of a training event” and press the “Search” button. Otherwise, you can search by training theme, date, target audience, education sector, etc. It is not necessary to complete all these fields before searching.

There are three fixed application deadlines in a year

• 15. 1. (for training starting on or after 1. 5),
• 30. 4. (for training starting on or after 1. 9),
• 15. 9. (for training starting on or after 1. 1. in the subsequent year).

The training must start by 30 April in the subsequent year at the latest.

Duration: The training courses can be from 5 working days up to 6 weeks.

Who can apply:Any organisation or individual involved in adult education, whether in a formal, non-formal or informal learning environment (including voluntary staff). Applications will normally be submitted through an organisation, which must have a legal identity and be able to enter into legally binding agreements, signed by its legal representative. However, applications may be submitted by individuals, e.g. in the case of former teachers or those wishing to re-enter adult education.

How to apply for a grant:the application must be submitted by home organisations of individuals to the National Agency in their home country, but where no home organization exists (in the case of former or unemployed teachers), the application may be submitted directly by individuals to the National Agency in their home country.
