Mobility


Why mobility? 

The aim of mobility projects is to enable participants to gain new professional, personal, intercultural, linguistic knowledge in another country. Experiences should help young people in finding their first employment or to improve their competitiveness on the national or European labour market on one hand, and on the other hand, mobility project should support innovation, quality and attractiveness of vocational education system, practices and methods.

Partnership in mobility projects

Only organizations can apply for mobility project for participants. Eligible institutions are organizations in the field vocational education and training, up to tertiary level of education. These can be schools and other VET institutions, guidance and employment services, companies, research institutions, various associations, NGOs…

Each mobility project should involve 2 organizations from 2 different countries, participating in the programme (27 EU members, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Turkey and Croatia and Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia in some projects).
Partners for mobility project can be found by attending a contact seminar, from the list of interested Slovene organizations (available soon!) or through National agency of an individual country.

Who can participate, for how long?

The duration of the project can be up to 2 years; however the practical training abroad can last from 1 to 39 weeks, depending on the target group. There are 3 target groups:

  • People in initial (and continuing) vocational education and training; duration of practical training is from 2 to 39 weeks
  • People on the labour market; duration of practical training is from 2 to 26 weeks
  • Vocational education and training experts; their exchange abroad can be from 1 to 6 weeks


How to apply? 

The deadline for submission of mobility projects is normally once per year and in the year 2013  is 1th of February. By that time, the organization should find suitable Slovene partner organization, willing to receive participants in the project, develop the training programme and discuss practical matters.

The selection of 2013 projects takes place after the deadline and results of the 2013. Call for proposals should be announced in May 2013. Mobility projects may start on June 1st 2013 and finish by the end of May 2015.

Organization wishing to apply for mobility project with Slovenian partner should refer to National agency of Leonardo da Vinci programme of their origin country where all documentation is available.
